Kinzua Bridge
During a stormy September afternoon, I found myself on the edge of the destroyed Kinzua Bridge, capturing this image under heavy wind and rain. Look closely and you can see the storm clouds lurking over the leftovers of the collapsed bridge.
First built out of iron, then re-built out of steel, Kinzua Bridge was considered to be the 'Eighth Wonder of the World', holding the record as the highest railroad bridge in the world for two years. After its rebuilding, it was used for almost 60 years until the line it was on was closed.
In 2003, during its restoration, Kinzua Bridge was hit by a tornado, causing a large portion of it to collapse. Today, it's the centerpiece of the State Park and a huge tourist attraction.
The original image and the print is created by PxBR and comes in 3 different mediums:
- High-definition poster print.
- High-definition print on canvas and wrapped around wooden frame, ready to hang.
- Metal plate with metal hanger, ready to hang.
Custom size is available upon request. About different sizes, borders and different images, feel free to contact.
